St. Basil's 25th Anniversary!

Today St. Basil the Great Byzantine Catholic Church celebrated their 25th year of being in existence.
It was a glorious celebration.
Lots of singing, praying, Bible reading and pure / holy worship to Almighty GOD.
It was a packed house!  People came from all over.  It was GREAT!!  :)

Below are a few pictures....

Various priests & deacons, plus Fr. Dan

Metropolitan Archbishop William Skurla.  He came all the way
from Pittsburg, PA to join in the celebration with us.  He also gave
                                                 a wonderful homily.

The book we used especially for today.  Normally we use a
medium thick green book for Divine Liturgy.

After Divine Liturgy, we all enjoyed a wonderful meal together.  One of the family's did all the catering.  It was buffet style.  It was such a beautiful day outside (thank you LORD for that) we all got our food and sat underneath the large tent that was outside.

We had 3 deacons at our table and it was fun to talk with them.  You know, some people tend to forget that priests, deacons, ministers, clergy, etc are all human beings just like the rest of us.  They have likes and dislikes, fears, trials, sorrows, triumphs, and victories just like you and I do. They are normal every day people who need our prayers.  :)

So, yeah, Happy 25th Anniversary St Basil's!!!!  May GOD grant you many more years!!!!

                                                              Love,
                                                              Dawn
