I do apologize for not being faithful on here. That might change. :) We shall see.
I am doing amazing! Robert is doing amazing. He turned 33 last week. We had a good celebration. He is currently on spring break this week. Although he originally should be home more often, he's not. He has animation projects to get done, so when he's not working, he's at the school anyway. He loves what he does though. As long as it makes him happy, I am happy to serve him and make his life a little easier any way I can. :)
My mommy is coming to Texas in May for 1 week! Yippee!!! We haven't seen each other in 3 years! She will be here for Robert's graduation as well. I'm so excited *clap clap clap*. She said she would even try the raw food / vegan restaurants over here when we stop for a meal. That's a big WOW! Especially coming from her. :)
Hey, maybe she will come to church with me??? We shall see.
The past year and a half has been one heck of a spiritual roller coaster ride. I wouldn't trade it though as it has been a learning experience for me. For awhile I almost became an atheist. I was so mad at YHWH, questioning His existence, if He even cared about any of us, our issues we face in life and if so, where was He? Why wasn't He doing anything? I would yell at Him, curse at Him, mock His Word.
Funny how every time I would yell at Him, various Scriptures would come to mind. All.the.time. LOL.
I once asked a Believer if they've ever questioned YHWH the way I have. They said 'no'. Well that must be nice.
I couldn't denounce YHWH because I knew what He had done in my life over the years. I knew He was real as I thought back from all the times He took care of me, answered prayers and poured forth His spirit inside of me. :)
I was so hurt, so angry with Him and thus began a new journey during that time.
I ended up getting involved in some new age stuff. Bought some chakra rocks, began getting into more new age thinking. Nothing really bad, but I was searching. I still said I believed in Yahweh and Yeshua (and I did), but that was it. Just a quick belief, nothing else.
These 2 journeys for me were very lonely, isolating, and I ended up unfulfilled. I was getting advice from people that compromised by beliefs, even though I wasn't living for YHWH at the time, I knew it wasn't right at all.
During this time, I still felt pokes and proddings from Him. They were very small and subtle and I would have missed them completely had I not known what they were. I knew. Yet I ignored them. I didn't know what I wanted spiritually.
March 7, 2012 the prodigal daughter came Home. I repented of my sinful, horrible ways, the way I treated and disrespected my Father, the horrible things I had spoken and done, turned away from that way of living and got my footing back on the Narrow Path once more.
Everything has been washed in the Blood, forgiven, forgotten and remembered no more by our Master. HalleleuYAH!!! HalleluYAH!!! \0/
The communication line between me and YHWH was once severed and 'out of order' so to speak, now it's back stronger than ever and complete. :) I can't stop smiling. :-D
I celebrated my 1st Shabbat last Friday in a very long time. It was so wonderful. Oh how I have missed it.
Began attending the Mennonite church again (for fellowship / to hear preaching) and they embraced me back into their fold. Grant it, I am just a visitor once again, but their love hadn't changed.
I've missed my Plain family. I've missed keeping Sabbath and His feast days.
I missed the freedom I had in living for Him. I am just soaking up the Word, enjoying praying for others and their needs.
The joy that only living for Him can bring. :)
I am free, forgiven and I feel AMAZING!!!!!!!!
I have no idea how people can live day in and day out without YHWH. I did that and was miserable.
One thing I did learn going through this is you learn who your real friends are. Lost some friends, who I guess were never my friends to begin with. You don't forsake somebody in their struggles!!! They need prayers the most during that time, not for you to stick your nose in the air and depart from their life. It can very easily happen to you. Don't think it can't.
On a side note, I have released 105 lbs. Have about 40-50 lbs. left to go.
Love,
Dawn

Glad you have found your way! It feels good doesn't it? Are you still on facebook? Just wondering. I seem to keep losing friends and then they are back or not so it is crazy. Huggles.
that's awesome dawn! blessings!
It thrills me so much to read this blog post! As one of your more "senior" friends seeing you journey away and then come home again has been like watching a child of my own return. Thanks for sharing your testimony Dawn. You are such a blessing!
Blessings!Pam
Such a wonderful testimony of God's love for us. Thankyou for sharing this Dawn. I'm so happy for you!
Made me think of that hymn "O Love, that wilt not let me go...."
Great news on your 'faith gain' and 'weight loss' :o)
xx
So happy that you reunited with Him. You look so beautiful and happy.
I've missed you Dawn. I am glad to see you are back and on facebook too. And I'm following in your footsteps (sort of) in the weight loss. I eat very little meat and use very little dairy, but for me it is for health reasons.
Glad your back!
Dawn, I am so pleased to see you "back home". God is so merciful. I enjoy many vegan foods.
God bless you and your husband.
I had been praying for you girl! As a blog reader for many years, you have been on my heart so much!
Praise HIM!
Gina
