Spiritually struggling

Again, sorry for being MIA! I honestly have so much to blog about (San Antonio, Wynonna concert, raw food class, Cleanse Austin, a new e-book, etc, etc.) but I must not be in the chatty mood as of late. I will get there though.

So yeah, for the past year, year and a half I just have stopped spiritually. Stopped praying (hasn't worked for me in many years), stopped reading the Bible, yet I still attended church even though I had 'checked out' awhile ago.

You can quote me Bible verses till you are blue in the face but it won't have any effect on me.

Yes, I even struggled last year with the existence of YHWH, almost denied Him too, but I couldn't because I knew what He has done in my life in the past. I know He is real because 10 years ago, He came into my heart and life when I asked Him too.

Today I am at Ground Zero in my walk with Yahweh. All I know is that He is YHWH, that Yeshua is the Son of Him and bled and died for my sins (very thankful for that).

Everything else is a toss up, doctrinally speaking.

I do believe:

* in the Biblical 7th day Sabbath as the day of rest as it is commanded.
* YHWH gave us dietary food laws for our benefit and we are to follow them if we follow Him.
* All the Biblical feasts HAVE NOT been fulfilled. There are 3 remaining that won't be fulfilled till His coming, so I am all for honoring the Biblical feast days and remembering them.
* the Torah wasn't nailed to the Cross, it was the man made rules (dogmas), look it up in the Greek.
* headcoverings for the womenfolk .
* modesty for the men and women. If a woman wants to wear pants, I don't really care. Modesty comes in many forms. (No I haven't went back to wearing pants) If she wants to wear a bracelet or her wedding ring, then do it.
If you want to trim your split ends, please do so to keep your hair healthy and don't let any fear mongering preacher tell you otherwise.
* baptism by immersion.

That's pretty much the basics.

I am done with the church scene though. I really have no interest in walking through the doors of yet another church building.

I wouldn't mind maybe meeting in someone's home, or even meeting somewhere and just pray, talk about YHWH, etc. Where 2 or 3 are gathered in my name, there will I be the Bible says.

I have watched many conservative, headcovering, Plain "friends" stop talking to me because according to them 'I went back to the world', whatever that means.
I used to be like that, I really did. I was so narrow minded, judgmental, critical and had my nose stuck in the air like my crap didn't stink. Then I realized that wasn't a healthy way too live.
So to all of you who have left me, you were never really my friend then, were you?
I tell you to take the beam out of your own self righteous eye before you start looking down at others. Pride is not healthy.
I still love you though, very much and would love to be friends with you, because we all need each other in this world.
(No I am not talking about anyone in the Mennonite church I left either, I did have many other Plain friends in my life as well).

I'm not against people praying for me, in fact, I am humbled when somebody says they are. It means they actually care. And that warms my heart. :)

So, yeah here I am blabbing away, typing my thoughts on this subject here... I am just being open, real, and honest here.

You all have a fabulous day!

Much LOVE sent your way!

you are a great person even though we haven't officially met, but I know that you love the Lord and want to serve him and that is all that matters. just be yourself! God never asked us to stop being who He created us to be. i pray blessings on you and your hubby!

::hugs:: Just you and Jesus is a good place to rebuild. May He guide you in His truth and show you what He wants from you next.

Hi there!

Your blog post rung a bell with me. I quit being a headcovering fundamentalist about two years ago and watched all my friends disappear too :/. It's like having the Plague lol!

I've read your spiritual struggles on your blog and they've resonated with me quite a bit.

Keep posting, I love your blog!

Dawn, I don't know if you would be interested, but do you remember Jimmy and Marsha Wilson? They have five daughters? They are having home church now at their house. Sometimes the Kane's go, and another couple from Itasca.
And what friends did you lose? Just online ones, or "real" ones?
