I apologize in advance if some pictures are blurry...I've got a cheap 5 megapixel camera that doesn't work very well in settings like these. Plus we were told we couldn't use our flashes on our cameras in the arena which made picture taking worse, at least for my camera...lol. =) We will be investing in a better quality camera next year hopefully.
I couldn't go to a Judd concert and not dye my hair red! It's not as red as I'd hoped it would be, but I can't help my hair is originally a darkish brown color. Oh well. Mom told me not to dye it anything to outlandish (I need to ask Wy what she uses...lol) and so this is what it turned out to look like after it was all said and done. I can't really tell a difference.
Judd t-shirt. Just about were sold out too so I am glad I was able to get this. Concert shirts have sure went up since the mid 90's. Used to be $25, now they are $35.
Rental car. 2012 (I think) Hyundai Accent. Drives fabulous!
The view from my room. Wal-Mart... what a view, huh?
My room
Holiday Inn Express and Suites.
There wasn't much in Durant Oklahoma. There's a casino there and a Wal-Mart, but that's pretty much it. =) I had no trouble finding the place. Only took 2 hours from my house to get there.
Once I got past the wretched awful traffic in Dallas, it was smooth riding all the way there and back.
There was free shuttle service to and from the concert arena / casino, so that was nice not to have to drive and sift through all that traffic.
My seat at the concert was pretty much in the ' nosebleed section' a.k.a. all the way in the back, but once the concert started, I didn't stay there. I walked around to get some decent pictures and danced in the aisles with everyone else. =)
It was great. Mom and daughter laughing together, singing together, crying together, cracking jokes and poking fun at one another. Wy mentioned she was 47. I was standing there going 'no way!' Naomi's 65. They're both as beautiful as ever though.
I guess I still see myself in my early teens at Wy concerts and she's in her early 30's.
I guess it's weird for me to see a huge time gap...
So, now it's back to my wifely duties, but not without some Judd music to keep me going and I hope Wy will come to the Dallas area next year, because I am so there! (With hopefully a better camera!) =)
