Hubby's 30th birthday

Was this past Sunday and he had a grand time! After work he came home and changed and we went to the Reserve base here in town to pick up his friend Bruce. They were in the same unit in Germany. Bruce was here for training. Robert wanted hom to join us for dinner. The more the nerrier!
Very nice gentleman by the way. :)
We ate at Texas Land and Cattle per hubby's request of course. To me, it was alright...last time we ate there it was excellent, but for some reason that evening the food didn't seem as great. Robert and Bruce thought differently of course. Men eat anything. :)
After dinner we went to the Wal-Mart nearby as Bruce needed something and so did we.
Then we went to the Cheesecake Factory for dessert...well dessert to go. After we grabbed that, the menfolk wanted to go next door to Barnes and Noble for something and thankfull they didn't take long because it was starting to turn ghetto outside...lol.
We then drove Bruce back to the base and went home.
It was a great day!
And if I didnt mention it already...I got Robert a new iPOD for his birthday. It was cheaper at Costco than Wal-Mart or Target.
Since Robert's conversion we have been praying together every day and reading our Bible's together and then discussing what we read. Yippee!!! I have been waiting for these moments for years now!!! :)
I made a rather large order with Rod & Staff the other day. Books about GODLY Womanhood, married life, being separate from the world, purity, etc. and they seem like an excellent company. Got my order in 2 days. :)
I am currently reading a book from them titled 'The Christian and the world' or something like that. Very good.
It's been a quiet week, praise YAH.
Looking forward to the weekend and church. I get to see Kelly from http://theaccidentalanabaptist.blogspot.com/ again as she is coming to the church for a visit.
Stay safe and YAH Bless!

And now you got me craving cheese cake from that cheescake factory. I guess I'm gonna have to drive to Boise and go buy some LOL.

Hugs,

I am so very happy for you Sister Dawn and I am rejoicing with you\0/ GOD is so Good :) We know that our prayers do not return void and there is power in a praying wife. Satan has no power when a veiled Daught of Yah is praying! Love you Sister,Tabby

That cake looks yummy but as it's Lent I will have to wait until Easter Sunday to have cake.

Dawn the tree scene at the top of your blog looks Australian, is it?
