At 1 a.m. this morning my hubby rededicated his life to Yeshua!!!
Several factors, led up to this new found dedication of his.
Truth be told, YAH had been dealing with his heart for a few weeks now, he just never told me. :-)
His friends he plays Yu-Gi-Oh cards with kept telling him how nice and kind he was and he thought to himself, 'but it's not the real nice and kindness that comes from Christ'. And that bothered him.
Then he found an ex girlfriend (die hard atheist, oh and by the way, when my hubby was dating her, he was a die hard atheist as well) on MySpace and after reading many of her anti God blog postings he said 'you know, I talk all this stuff about Christ and preach it to others, but I am not living it, I'm a hypocrite, I just want to go back home (Church), I don't want to live this way anymore'.
After seeing her postings and her hatred, he thanked me profusely for being who I am and said he was so thankful that I am his wife. Awwwwwwwwww :)
So he goes upstairs supposedly going to sleep (this is around 12 a.m. or later) and couldn't sleep so he came back down to download some sermons and what not from Catholic Answers on his iPOD (his birthday present we got at Costco yesterday by the way) and was looking for the rosary or a Catholic Bible online for free that he can download on there as well.
Then as we were laying in bed (it's so hard for me to talk to him about spiritual matters since we are different in so many ways) I asked him if I can talk to him. Of course he said yes.
I told him that maybe he should re dedicate his life to Yeshua right now, make it official, that he meant business with Him.
He told me he didn't want to go back to the slacker path he had been on, so, he ended up praying for a few minutes and when he was done I told him how happy and proud of him I was.
He thanked me. :-) I also told him that for many years I watched him place other things before Yeshua and how that was my Cross to bear, but I didn't mind carrying it, and that many people over the years kept him in prayer that he would come back to YAH.
I told him the devil will fight him tooth and nail and that he is going to have to want YAH more than anything.
We talked a little bit more and then he fell asleep. Me? Yeah right! I was high on cloud 9 with adrenaline...lol. Got 4 hours of sleep though. :-)
He asked me to help him to get back to church and I will do what I can, but he has to have his own personal walk with Christ, I can't do it for him, ya know? I can keep him encouraged though!
I also told him if he didn't care for the Catholic Church 3 minutes from our house (he's been there before and didn't care for it, said they had a band and it just wasn't his style...he's more conservative when it comes to churches), that he can try the myriad of churches in Arlington. I think there are 6-10 Catholic Churches in that town alone. :-)
He wants his rosary..well it was my rosary when I was Catholic, but I gave it to him years ago and he has treasured it since, but who knows where it's at. He said God had been dealing with him to find it for weeks now and he didn't know why, now he does. :)
So, that's the story.
I have to control myself not to jump ahead of the game...you know 'Come on honey, let's do devotions, let's have a 3 hour prayer session, let's be in the church parking lot 2 hours before the doors open'...lol.
I have to remember he is a new babe in Yeshua the Messiah.
I asked him if he wanted to get a new Bible for a new start and he said no, that he liked his tattered Bible he used when he was faithful to Christ years ago.
This couldn't have come at a more better time. Tomorrow is his 30th birthday! :-)

For anyone who has ever prayed for my hubby's salvation, whether it be yesterday or 7 years ago, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I wish I could hug you and let you know how much that prayer(s) you said meant to me.
Shalom!

As a woman who has (and continues to) prayed for her husband for 30 years, I am rejoicing with you!!!
Happy Birthday and RE-birthday to your Sweetheart.
A Simple and Spiritual Life is the only Life that will survive.......
Oh Dawn, that is so great!
I know well the joy you're feeling right now.
I lurk here often, but rarely comment. I had to come out today though, to praise God with you.
God is so good!
A wonderful story Dawn. I would really recommend this website to your husband, they will send him an email every day with the scripture readings of the day and a commentary on the readings.

Catholic Answers is a good site for finding answers to the questions people ask about Catholicism.
The St Paul Centre for biblical theology is run by Scott Hahn and I know your husband likes him. He can do some online bible study courses.

If he wants to get an overview of Catholicism I would recommend Catholicism For Dummies (part of the for dummies series) by Fr John Trigilio and Fr Kenneth Brighenti.
I will keep both you and your husband in my prayers.
That's awesome! : )
oh dawn how wonderful!!!! you must be jumping up and down!
Way! WAY! Totally awesome. THIS is a praise report!
I can totally relate with you. My husband Rededicated his life to the Lord last year. At church. But I missed it because I was teaching sunday school. Which is probably a good thing because I would have been dancing and shouting hallelujah! hehe.
He also was baptised in January. Something he used to be against but I helped him understand the whole reasoning behind it as well as our Pastor and he went and decided to be baptised.
He has been slowly becoming a different person in some ways. It is awesome to witness. God has such a strong calling on his life.
So Dawn Let us Dance together so to speak for our husbands. And shout Hallelujah from the roof tops! I am getting all kinds of excited over here. Maybe I should go work on my homework and cool off so I don't end up shouting and waking up the rest of the house LOL!
BIG HUGS! Nice to have been able to find your blog again as well. I too had my computer replaced and lost all my favorites. I've been slowly finding all my stuff again. My hard drive crashed (it was old). So we decided to get upgrade everything. And since then I have also got a laptop so I can do my studies outside of the house like at a coffee shop or something. When I need to be kid free to think.
Well I am gonna go work on my homework some more Sister Dawn. You have a blessed evening, day, week, year, life, etc!
I have you on my fav's now. So I will be reading your blog when time allows once again!
oh praise Jesus! i am so happy to hear this for you! :)
What a blessing! St. Paul was right, that a godly wife may lead her husband to Christ. Although I am not consistent in roasry use, I make them for other people, and it is a beautiful practice. We are only asking that the blessed mother of our Lord pray for us from the throne room of God. May you both be blessed in yoru walk together.
HalleluYAH!!!
Im kind of behind in my blog reading so I just saw this. I am so excited for you. I know you must feel such joy. I will continue praying for your family.
