A fantastic Tuesday greeting!

I had such a wonderful Sunday this past weekend! I was able to go to both services the church had (morning and evening). They don't have the evening services all the time, I think once per month, but this past Sunday was the evening for them and I was able to go back. It was such a blessing and I thank YAH for that.
Kelly over at http://theaccidentalanabaptist.blogspot.com showed up for the morning service and it was such a blessing to chat with her after service. :)
She had invited me over to her house and at first I was going to go but then I really wanted to come back to the evening service and with time being short, I politely declined. Maybe next Sunday. :)
Then Sis Laura comes up and invites us both to her house for the noon meal. :) Of course I would love to go, but I told her I have a hubby at home who is most likely starving so I had to go feed him. But I thanked her for the kind offer.
After talking with a few more ladies, and grabbing my dress that Janet (ministers wife) fixed for me, I headed home.
Grabbed hubby and we went to our favorite mexican place in Arlington. They know us very well there. :)
Came home, rested for a bit, then it was time to head back on the expressway to church.
It seemed like a shorter service than the morning church service.
The morning service was about the new birth, the call of commitment (repentance), call to service, and the call to give.
The evening service was taken from Psalm 144 and titled 'Whose GOD is the LORD'. It was talking about mothers and fathers and the disciplined home.
Some time this week Robert and I were invited to the Yoders home for the evening meal so we look forward to that.
Below, this was our devotion given to us in the morning church service by a gentleman by the name of Carl Cooper. Him and his wife were just passing through.
This chapter in Isaiah is short but it is so wonderful. Let each verse soak in. I am going to put my thoughts in it. :)
Isaiah
Chapter 55

1 Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye for water, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Are you thirsty for the things of GOD? I know I am!

2 Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your gain for that which satisfieth not? Hearken diligently unto Me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. Do we spend GOD's money on things we don't need? If you look in the 2nd sentence it tells us that the frivolous things we spend money on will not satisfy us. Might give us a little buzz for a few hours or a day, but we will eventually tire of it and move on to something else. However, a personal walk with GOD, now that is something no money can buy, but it never gets old! It never breaks, rusts, fades. His mercies towards His children are new every morning!

3 Incline your ear, and come unto Me; hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.
When GOD calls you to do something, do you answer Him? Or do you shrug it off because you don't want to do what He is asking? When we dismiss the call from GOD, we are missing out on huge blessings in our life, we really are. Don't turn a deaf ear to Him next time He is calling you. You might miss one of the greatest things in your life if you do.

4 Behold, I have given him for a witness to the peoples, a prince and commander to the peoples.

5 Behold, thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not, and a nation that knew not thee shall run unto thee; because of HaShem thy G-d, and for the Holy One of Israel, for He hath glorified thee.

6 Seek ye HaShem while He may be found, call ye upon Him while He is near;
Seek Him Sisters!! Seek Him with your whole heart, your whole soul, your whole mind! Call upon Him! Remember no prayer request given to GOD is dumb or silly. Yes, GOD even cares about the 'little' things in our lives and if we have a request we should lift it up to Him unashamed.

7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the man of iniquity his thoughts; and let him return unto HaShem, and He will have compassion upon him, and to our G-d, for He will abundantly pardon
This makes me see how GOD is pleading with the human race to repent and come back to Him before it's too late. Have you sister, strayed from GOD? He is ready and willing right now to accept you back in. All you have to do is make that 1st step. :)

8 For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, saith HaShem.
I love this verse! If we all had it our way, no one would ever get cancer, no one would ever die, we would live in a crime free world, etc.
GOD allows things to happen to us and we will not understand it. We think 'why me? I am a good person.' Or 'why does such a loving GOD allow so much suffering?'
His ways are not our ways. His thoughts are not our thoughts.
This verse is also about trusting Him with everything you've got.
When you get that letter from the bank saying your house is being foreclosed neither are your ways, my ways. When the doctor's office calls and says they need to see you ASAP to discuss the results from a test, neither are your ways my ways.
Do you trust Him in circumstances like that?
He has such a bigger plan for us then we can ever imagine Sisters. Our minds are so limited.

9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.
Kind of goes hand in hand with what I said above. We don't know why GOD allows us things, sometimes horrible things to go on in our life, but He does, because His ways are higher than ours.

10 For as the rain cometh down and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, except it water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, and give seed to the sower and bread to the eater;

11 So shall My word be that goeth forth out of My mouth: it shall not return unto Me void, except it accomplish that which I please, and make the thing whereto I sent it prosper.

12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace; the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
Even in the more dire circumstances, us Christians can have joy! Joy unspeakable and full of glory! Why? Because we know GOD is walking in the valley with us. We know how big of a GOD we serve and we rest on His everlasting promises...that's why! :)
GOD is the ultimate peace keeper. He can still our unrested hearts if we just allow Him too instead of trying to fix everything in our own limited power.

13 Instead of the thorn shall come up the cypress, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle; and it shall be to HaShem for a memorial, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.
Yesterday (Monday), we went to Keene Texas and had our taxes done. The gentleman only charged us $60! Take that H&R Block! HA! :-D
We will be getting a substantial amount back, that's all I am saying...lol. Most of it will go to get that mortgage payment down, some will go for eye doctor and dentist visits and some will be our play money.
Robert doesn't have school this week due to spring break so he has picked up extra hours at work which he doesn't mind as he loves what he does and he is very happy there.
Towards the end of the week we are taking a day trip to Oklahoma. He is in need of a new uniform and some PT shorts.
Yippee!!! We look forward to going. We love Oklahoma! :)
Well I must get this body moving.
Take care my blogging friends and be safe this week!
F.R.O.G.
Fully Rely On GOD.
Blessings,
Dawn

glad your taxes turned out so well. Is that a fair amount that he charges ? I have no idea since we have never had anyone else do them for us.

We used H&R block once about 6 years or so ago (not sure).. And NEVER again. They screwed our taxes up so bad. We got a personal phone call from the IRS because of it. Need I say more?
