Our Friday, Saturday & Sunday :-D

Greetings to a new week all!!! I am looking forward to the treasures, the ups & downs, this week has to offer me.
The past 3 days we're busy for us but busy in a blessed way. :-)
On Thursday we rented a car and on Friday we made a day trip to Lawton / Ft. Sill. The drive is 3 hours each way and it's not bad at all once you get past the nightmarish drivers in the TX Metroplex. :-)
Our goal was to leave Friday morning at 6 a.m. but we didn't get going till almost 7 a.m.
Got to Ft. Sill about after 10 a.m. and our first place we went to was the MCSS (military clothing and sales) so we could finally get hubby a new uniform, PT shorts, and a belt. $88 later we left there and walked around the PX...still as boring as ever...lol...but they put in a Game Stop which hubby liked and bought a used Wii game that he liked that was stolen in the move from Germany to Texas.
We left the base after that and hit the Wal-Mart right where our old apartment used to be.
Then went to Game King as hubby wanted to see what type of Yu-Gi-Oh cards they had.
Stopped at this tortilla factory and picked up a batch of fresh tortillas. Mmmmmm ...so yummy. They have this same tortilla place in Ft. Worth, hubby and I will have to find it one of these days.
Then hubby dropped me off at Atlanta Bread Co. because I met up with fellow Blogger Anna from http://veiledglory.wordpress.com
We met up July 2008, so this was our 2nd meetup. :-)
It was a blessing.
Her and her husband will be moving to another state in May so Robert and I will make a trip to Lawton / Ft. Sill that month to see them before they go.
After leaving Atlanta Bread Co., hubby and I had lunch at Los Tres Amigos, got gas in the car and headed home.
The trip home was uneventful, thankfully. We stopped at a Dairy Queen somewhere for potty break / soda stop and continued on home.
We were so tired when we got home, we didn't even eat dinner, we went straight upstairs at 6:30 p.m. and went to bed...lol. Slept for 12-13 hours, the both of us...think we were tired? :-)
On Saturday, after Robert got done working, we were invited out to the Yoders home in Grandview for dinner. The Krause family was there also.
I will say, the drive out to their home was beautiful, and their home and land are just as nice. GOD has blessed them so much.
We had a meal of homemade pizza, salad, baked beans, and dessert of strawberry ice cream with some type of crumble on top. It was all very delicious...just ask Robert. :-)
After eating, we fellowshipped in the living room and talked and joked and it was so much fun.
Then Gareth (Yoder) wanted to give us a tour of the barns that some of the brethren build, the million goats they had, the milking station and how it's processed, and some things about trucks.
Robert loved the tour. :-)
We fellowshipped some more back inside and before we knew it, it was 9 p.m. and we had to go (where in the world did the time go???).
Since there aren't any street lights out in the country in Texas and the Yoders live out in the middle of nowhere, the Krauses said they would lead us back to the expressway for us, and they did.
We all said our thank you's and goodbyes and headed out.
I already knew I would enjoy myself what mattered was how Robert felt about the whole thing and he loved it! He talked non stop all the way home about the humbleness and humility of the Mennonites and how he would love to help the brethren build a barn, and he loved how open they were and how simple their walk with GOD was.
Of course he enjoyed the food too. :-)~
I asked him, if we got invited to another family's home for a meal if he would be interested in going and he said 'yes'. :-)
He may even come out to church with me for a visit soon.
Sunday Kelly from http://theaccidentalanabaptist.blogspot.com came to church and so did our friend Carla and a few of her children.
Bro. Marlin preached a message, mainly for us ladies from Proverbs 31 and it was pretty good. I have heard most of it before, but I think he preached it as a reminder to us all.
It's good to be reminded ya know. Helps us not to be stuck in our prideful ways. :-)
After service we had a fellowship meal...mmmmm so much yummy fooooood..............
Lots of food, lots of fellowship...what more can a person ask for on a glorious day like that?
After fellowship, Kelly invited me to her house and off I went with her. Was there for 3.5 hours! Could have stayed longer but before I knew it the clock said 6 p.m!!!! Whoa...where did the time go? LOL.
I had such a fun time at Kelly's, talking and getting to know each other better, poking at her kitty whom I should have taken home with me *wink* and see that cute puppy of hers.
By the time I got home, Robert was gone, it was past 7 p.m. and I knew where to find him...playing Yu-Gi-Oh cards at the comic book store (he had given up Yu-Gi-Oh cards for 'lent', but I guess that didn't last long).
He was starving and begged to go to this mexican place in Arlington. So off I go with him.
We didn't get home till 9 p.m. and I was done had it. LOL.
But, really, the past 3 days were a huge blessing. I am so grateful I got to experience them.

Kelly gave me some books. Yippee!!! I have been wanting that book 'What Shall The Redeemed Wear?' for awhile now and she just put it in my hands and said 'take it'. Wow...praise the LORD! I can't wait to read the others as well!!

Kelly also gave me some old issues of The Budget. It's a weekly Amish & Mennonite newspaper, tells you what's going on within the communities nationwide. I was actually mentioned in this paper believe it or not. When I first came out to Grandview Gospel Fellowship, someone wrote an article and mentioned me. Pretty cool :-)

Once per month, the ladies at my church get together for Bible devotion , lunch, and then sewing. I haven't gone yet as Robert's work / college schedule take up the day this event is on. But, Sis. Yoder gave me this book Saturday evening and said that's what the ladies were doing for their devotions monthly and I can go ahead and read and catch up on it.
I love stuff like this, about GODLY / Biblical Womanhood so I can't wait to dive into this.

The Krause's gave us some homemade jelly. Yum! Can't wait to try it out.

Anna and me on Friday - Lawton OK

Well, this afternoon we have to return the rental car and make a trip to Costco for more water. It's just back to the normal daily life of things.
You all take care and remember to be in constant thanks for all GOD has given to you and done for you.
Blessings,
Dawn

Our Steven lived with Gareths for a while. Just such nice folk.
The buck we used for our does was Gareths. And yes, their place is lovely and so isn't the ride out there. The view of the valley is amazing
