Spiritual food for thought

"This life in not all there is.
Life on earth is just the dress rehearsal before the real production. You will spend far more time on the other side of death - in eternity - than you will here.....This life is preparation for the next...At most, you will live a hundred years on earth, but you will spend forever in eternity. Your time on earth is, as Sir Thomas Browne said, 'but a parenthesis in eternity.' You were made to last forever." -R.W.
So how does this fact change the way I live today?
How does this fact change the way you live today? Are you 'storing up your earthly treasures' here or are you preparing to meet the Father and are more concerned about Heavenly things?
The only thing we can take to Heaven with us are people. We can't take anything else.
It's so important in these Last Days before Christ's return to be a little more firmer in witnessing, to give a little more devotion in getting souls out to church.
It takes lots of prayer and sacrifice on our part but oh, won't it be worth it if they get saved and are in Glory with you?
Our time on this earth is brief, but a moment. How are we spending it? Are we using God's time wisely or is it being wasted in front of the the Devilivision (television), video games, shopping malls, tanning salons, sleeping the whole day away, etc.
Our enemy will use anything and everything to get us not to be spiritual. The further away we are pulled from the things of God the more of an ungodly influence the enemy can use on you.
Be wise and vigilant my dear friends. These last days are only going to get worse. Are you ready to die for Christ if it comes to it?

On a personal note, we had our housing unit pre inspected today and it went wonderfully. Before the inspector came, Robert fixed 3 items that have been broken in the house for, oh, I don't know, a year and a half...lol. When he realized how easy it was to fix those items he was like "why didn't I do this before" :-)
What we have to do is clean out the cabinets (what I have been doing since last week anyway), sweep / mop the floors, and clean the fridge and oven. Everything else will be cleaned by a cleaning team. Oh and we have to sweep the WHOLE stairwell which is about 72 stairs!
The inspector will come on July 1st to make sure everything is done and sign us out of housing. Hooray!
Now....back to cleaning and organizing!
God Bless You!

What important thoughts you have shared, Dawn!

Ah, clearing base housing..what fun ;o) I'll be thinking of y'all as you prepare to head back to the States. When we had to move from old housing that was to be demolished to new housing just across the street, we spent EIGHT HOURS cleaning the old house to standards. Yep, we had to clean everything even though the house was going the way of the junk yard in just a few weeks. ;P

Whoo hoo! So close now!!! :) The energy of knowing you'll be state-side in a matter of days will make sweepin' those stairs a breeze! :)

It's so hard not to get focused on the here and now, but every time I do I just try to tell myself, this will be over before I know it! And it always is!
