Thankful Tuesday

My mommy sent me some Thanksgiving things last week! What a blessing! Can't find any of that stuff here. Thank God for Wal-Mart, right mom? Thank you Mommy! :)
The days are getting shorter... it's dark here by 5 p.m.

Now...don't laugh at my turkey shower curtain...LOL. My mom got it for me several years ago, along with a snowman one for Christmas. I dug them out a few weeks ago and put the turkey one up today :)

Hello friends!
I hope this blog finds you all in good health and spirits!
We are well here.
Our friend Tony has been over here today and yesterday. Of course I feed him dinner while he hangs out with us. Thankfully he isn't a picky eater. :)
He helps me out when I need it and I am thankful that there is still an 18 year old who still respects their elders. He helps take out the trash, get soda and help with whatever I need when he is here and he doesn't mind. Praise God!
I am still writing out Thanksgiving cards so if any of you would like one from me, the offer still stands. I would be more than happy to bless you with a card in your mailbox! Look below in a previous blog for my e-mail address so you can send me your home address.
I am almost done Christmas shopping! I have to order my brother something online tomorrow. And Robert said he wanted either an iPOD or a Zune but they are so pricey! We will see if I get it...still got time for that.
Of course we have to get both sides of the family some authentic German chocolate since it will be our last Christmas here, but that's easy. All I got to do is walk down the street to Aldi's and get it. :)
We give Robert's family cash for Christmas, so that's easy enough. Cash and chocolate.
So, as you see, I am pretty much done!
Yesterday Robert had an eye appointment in Heidleberg which is about 30 - 40 minutes from our house. The only way to get their is the Autobahn of course.
Now, I only drove on that once and that is when I had to pick the car up in 2005 when we got here and Rob was in Iraq. Oh my gosh it was nuts!!! And I almost got killed!
I vowed to not drive on it again...till yesterday :)
It really wasn't a bad drive to and from! In fact I had fun! :) I stayed between 70-75 m.ph. because that's what was most comfortable to me.
The Germans go much faster..sometimes 100 m.p.h. or more! Thank God for the slow lane, that's all I am saying! :)
So, who knows...maybe I will drive on the autobahn one or two more times before we leave Germany next year :)
I must be scottin! Dishes need to be done!
Hugs from my house to yours,
Dawn

Dawn! I'm IN LOVE WITH YOUR SHOWER CURTAIN~! So wonderful what your mother sent to you. We don't have a Walmart near us (about 45 min. away by car...we don't have a car). Still, I ordered some stuff from Piper Classics for the fall theme here. Have a blessed day!

Dawn, your shower curtain is not nearly as funny as mine... I'm not posting a picture of mine! ;)

I haven't been around to visit you in a while. So it's good to drop by and say hello! Wishing you a lovely weekend.
