One day while in New York I was traveling in a taxi going to my appointment and there ahead of us was a car who whipped his car in front of my taxi and my driver had to slam his brakes on and he stopped just inches from having an accident and the other driver turned around and started to yell bad words at us as if my driver was at fault.
My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy I mean he was friendly so I asked him "why did you just do that"that guy also most ruined your car and almost sent us to the hospital !!!!.
This is what my taxi cab driver told me and this is what I call "the law of the garbage truck"So many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointments. As their garbage piles, they need a place to dump it. And if you let them they will dump it on you.
When someone wants to dump it on you, don't take it personally you just smile, wave and wish them well and pray for them and move on. You'll be happy you did.So that is it. I started to think about how many times I have a garbage truck run over me and what I used to do when they did and I was part of their problem. I would dump my garbage back on them and now we really had a Hugh pile of garbage and my joy and day was ruined..Becoming a born again child, requires us to not let the garbage trucks of this world ruin our day, take our joy from us. Seeing the anger in people and the sadness and the sickness and all the things that we don't know what their garbage truck is caring, we are required to pray for them and to show the LOVE of Jesus towards them. Yes we all have garbage of different kind, but we as Our LORD child, are to be in this world and not of it. Jesus went to the sick and downtrodden and we are to. Put our feeling aside and we can't go on our feeling because sometime we can't control them. We need to move pass our own issue and help them that need us and pick up our cross and follow after Jesus.

The Law of the garbage truck -- something to live by
I got this in my inbox not too long ago and will be printing it out shortly to memorize.
I know I have been angry and have had bad attitudes with my fellow man. Not on purpose though. It just happens.
However since I have begun headcovering, my whole demeanor has changed for the good. It's weird, but praise God!
The next time someone cuts you off on the road or cuts in front of you in line at the store, instead of getting angry or cocky, just smile, nod, say hello and let that person go. No point in arguing.
The next time you hear children whining or crying or going insane, pray for that mother and child or children instead if scoffing as you walk by. Lend a hand if you can.
Let's let Christ love radiant from us dear Sisters!!! It begins with us!!!!
Many hugs to bless your Sunday!!!
Love,
Dawn

Yes. It frees us in Christ and the joy He gives in return for living this way is abundant! Great post, Dawn.
Dawn --
Thanks for visiting me! My husband grew up in Germany and we'd love to go back there..
Loved this post, by the way!
God bless,
Sallie
That was great Dawn.
You have a WONDERFUL Monday!
And a great week!
God Bless
Dawn! I got my dresses from Sarah!! YAY!!! And now, I can wear them and get laughed at...
(Honestly, I am not imagining this pointing and laughing - it's so blatantly obvious that I have to give some credit to the islanders for being downright gutsy! But still, it's RUDE.)
GOD BLESS!
I loved the garbage truck reply! Thank you for sharing! This is such a good reminder!
on a side note:
I love your name...it is my middle name and you do not see it use so often anymore!
Blessings,
Kristine aka MamaArcher
Thank you for this post. What a blessing to me. I really needed this sentiment. I will probably share it with my friends and if you don't mind, I think that I will put a link to this on my own site.
