If it wouldn't hinder you too much, would you mind just saying a quick prayer for me. It's just been one of those days, know what I mean? They seem to be happening more frequently lately and I don't like it one bit.
I didn't get to sleep till 2:30 a.m. because I had a belly ache that just wouldn't go away. I munched on 4 TUMS earlier than that and those work really good for me, it just takes them awhile to do their job. :)
I already haven't been getting enough sleep as it is..
I woke up about 9:20 this morning and realized I had a cold (runny / stuffy nose) and I felt like zombie. Ugh....
I could have stayed in bed all day but knew I had to get up and try to make an attempt at something today.
I cleaned and organized 2 shelves in one of my closets and got some stuff to drop off at the thrift store and some stuff ready to be sold on eBay. But I will put those up for grabs maybe tomorrow when I have some energy.
So, as it was nearing dinner time and time for DH to get home, I did try to tidy the living room and it looks alright. Then I was getting a can of diced tomatoes off a high shelf and it fell on my big toe causing me excruciating pain, and I just wanted to cry. I have a nice dark cut there now. And it hurts a bit to walk... *sigh*
I could be mad, I could be angry, I could curse and blame God for my bad days, but I will not. I will praise Him instead! At least I am still alive! My day could have been much worse, but it was not.
Here is a quick and easy dinner solution for when you just don't want to cook, but know you have too. It's called Pork Chop Skillet Meal:
4 pork chops
2 tablespoons veg. oil
1-1/4 cups water
2/3 cup uncooked long grain rice
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 teaspoon salt, divided
1 can (11 ounces) whole kernal corn, drained
1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
1/4 teaspoon pepper
In a large skillet, brown chops in oil; drain. Remove chops. Combine water, rice, onion, and 1/2 teaspoon salt in the skillet. Place pork chops over rice mixture; top with corn and tomatoes. Sprinkle with pepper and remaining salt. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 20-25 minutes or until pork and rice are tender. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
Yield: 4 servings
I don't make anything else with this meal since it's just me and DH. But some bread and butter would probably go good with it for those of you with more folks to feed.
Tonight after dinner, I plan on doing the dishes, taking a shower, cuddling up with my Bible and a book, taking a Tylenol PM and going to bed. I've got to many errands to run tomorrow and being sick was not in the plans :)
God Bless You!

Praying for you.
My hubby woke up yesterday with a cold. He isn't happy. But, he is doing some better.
Rest when you can.
Just said a prayer for you. I hope you feel better soon, Dawn!
Sorry you had a bad day.
Sometimes when I have a tummy ache at night, I soak in a really hot bathtub and that seems to help. I think the heat releases the spasming muscles and makes me more comfortable. Maybe it will work for you.
Hope you feel better tomorrow!
Just prayed for you sister,
Look at my blog under the "I'm not sure I agree with this post" I recieved a comment from the pagent themsleves!!!
Blessings
Amy
Only a woman could have that kind of day--and then immediately follow it with a recipe!
Get some rest, Dawn, we are praying for you!
Many blessings...
Awww..you guys are so sweet! Even though I took a Tylenol PM I still didn't get to sleep till 2:30 this morning. Got up at 7:45 and my cold is a bit better, so is my toe (except when I put pressure on it), and I feel alright. Still going to take it easy today. Do a load of laundry, finish the dishes, and a few light things. Maybe I will catch a nap...there is such a nice breeze blowing....
Thank you all for saying a quick prayer for me. I appreciate each and every one of you! (((hugs)))
Ooo sounds like today is a much better day for you! Today it's WARM here. We'll both enjoy good breezes! GOD BLESS!!
praying for you. take time to rest. Always when I am under the weather, I think of it as a time to be still and hear that small still voice
