Hello there fellow readers and followers! :-D

Hope you all had a super fabulous weekend!

I enjoyed a gorgeous, restful, rejuvenating Sabbath and then today we hit the ground running, but it was a fun day nonetheless.

We love, love, LOVE going to this vegan restaurant near us called Spiral Diner. We go about once per week. They have the.best.food.ever!!!
And of course, it's vegan, which is the best part for many reasons.. The prices are very reasonable and we just feel so 'at home' there. The staff is always great and the atmosphere is too.

We visited Spiral today and I thought I would show you what we had. I had always meant to bring the camera on previous trips there but kept forgetting.

Texas has been having some AWESOME fall weather (at least in the mornings and evenings). I've been getting up anywhere between 5:30-6:30 a.m. to go walking every day. It's so wonderful to breathe in fresh, crisp air, feel the leaves crunch underneath my feet and talk to Yahweh.
We only get to the gym once or twice per week now since Robert's work / school schedule is full for now, and that's okay because I love walking in the wee hours of the morning.

Thanks to this fall weather, I've been doing fall cleaning. Dusting, washing, purging stuff each day. It feels so nice. :)

My best friend since 2nd grade is coming to visit me and Robert next month. I am sooo excited to see her and her brand new baby girl.
Yup, Robert and I are taking her to Spiral while she's here. :) We also plan on taking her to a museum in Ft. Worth and to Ripley's Believe It or Not.

Well it's almost midnight and I must say, I am tired. Gotta get up early and go walking so I will say g'night my friends.

Love,
Dawn

It all looks so yummy! You both look great and I bet feel great too. I'm still whittling away pounds( 46 lbs lost thus far, only approx. 40 more to go) too by eating less, more raw and walking 2 miles a day( at a very fast pace.)
I so... look forward to your posts, so inspiring and really make me think, Thank you :o)
Blessing for your week,
Kelle
Thankfully I've already eaten or I would have been hungry by the end of your post lol
Now that I've recovered enough to be able to take decent walks, I've set November 1st as the start date for following your example of a no-junkfood-diet. I can't do a lot of raw eating. Just not possible with a beef farmer. But I'm spending the next ten days weeding out more and more sugary or processed foods from our diet. Today we went shopping and I wasn't even interested in junk. And I bought simple familar things, nothing fancy. Time to create simple wholesome food here at home with fancy stuff being a rare treat.
We bought several staples in bulk: Whole weat flour, navy beans, lentils, rolled oats, brown rice... all organic and from "Whole Food City." And our own crops are coming in: cabbage, beets, turnip, carrots, potatoes, all fresh and organic from our own land.
I'm very excited!! I hope I see some decent results! Maybe not 100 pounds in 7 months but hopefully something!
