I cannot pray "OUR", if my faith has no room for others and their need.
I cannot pray "FATHER", if I do not demonstrate this relationship to God in my daily living.
I cannot pray "WHO ART IN HEAVEN", if all of my interests and pursuits are in earthly things.
I cannot pray "HALLOWED BE THY NAME", if I am not striving for God's help to be holy.
I cannot pray "THY KINGDOM COME", if I am unwilling to accept God's rule in my life.
I cannot pray "THY WILL BE DONE", if I am unwilling or resentful of having it in my life.
I cannot pray "IN EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN", unless I am truly ready to give myself to God's service here and now.
I cannot pray "GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD", without expending honest effort for it or if I would withhold from my neighbor the bread I receive.
I cannot pray "FORGIVE US OUR TRESPASSES AS WE FORGIVE THOSE WHO TRESPASS AGAINST US", if I continue to harbor a grudge against anyone.
I cannot pray "LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION", if I deliberately choose to remain in a situation where I am likely to be tempted.
I cannot pray "DELIVER US FROM EVIL", if I am not prepared to fight for the quality of my life and that of others through watchful prayer.
I cannot pray "THINE IS THE KINGDOM", if I am unwilling to obey the King.
I cannot pray "THINE IS THE POWER AND THE GLORY", if I am seeking power for myself and my own glory first.
I cannot pray 'FOREVER AND EVER", if I am too anxious about each day's affairs.
I cannot pray "AMEN", unless I honestly say "Not MY will, but Thy will be done, so let it be.

Good morning bloggers! Thought I would jump on here really quick before I head in the shower and get started on the day.
Good news - Robert received 2 A's and 2 C's for his grades last semester. He said if you combine them it makes a 'B' average hence giving him a 3.0 for a GPA. Hmmm I guess...lol.
On another note he got called for a job interview yesterday at UTA's (University of Texas-Arlington) school newspaper. He came out after 20 minutes and told me he was now a freelance illustrator for it! Whooohooo!!! The lady there told him he would have had the job last semester but somebody didn't give her his application until this week. :-/
We have to go pay his tuition for this semester (begins the 20th) and get his books today (can we say ouch on the pocketbook) and he has to go to the newspaper and set up his payroll thing. Then we have to make a quick stop at WalMart for a few things and that will be that.
I was hoping to go to Bible study last night but all day my body just ached and I had the chills and I was so exhausted. I figured someone gave me the flu, but then I woke up this morning perfectly fine and well rested.
Well I keep watching the minutes tick by on the clock and time is not waiting for me, so I best be scootin!
I hope you all have a safe and holy day today!

Liked the prayer! :) Hope your day goes well! ~Christina
Universities generally take forever to contact people for positions. What a blessing that your husband was able to get a job. Praised be Jesus Christ!
I understand about the book prices. I spent $375.00 this semester and I still need to pick another book.
congrats on the job! How exciting.
Hope you are feeling better. I know I hate to miss the gathering of the saints because my body is not feeling well.
Lovely thought about the Lord's Prayer. I will definately keep those things in mind when I pray (at least I will try, for I am not perfect).
Also, congrats to your husband for getting a new job. That is always exciting! My husband finally landed a new job last year, and it has truly been a blessing for us!
However, I am sorry about you having to spend SO much money on college tuition and college books. Yes, those things are always very pricey. I think some of the books are over-priced.
Anyway, have a wonderful day!
