Been busy

Happy Saturday to you all! I can't believe it's the 3rd of May already!
Since being home from the hospital I haven't had much time to myself. Been taking care of my beloved.
When he gets up 10 times at night, I get up with him, give him his meds and apply warm compresses to his body where it hurts.
I've been making sure he is drinking more and more water and not straining himself by doing too much.
I've been by his side to tuck him in to bed and make sure he falls asleep before I do.
Besides taking care of him, I am still doing the cooking, cleaning, laundry, sweeping, balancing the checkbook, etc.
And I don't mind one bit.
I am doing all this cheerfully as unto the Lord and am honored I can help my husband in this way during his time of need.
Robert is still in a lot of pain. I don't think much has changed since he left the hospital. I mean, his meds help for every 4 hours he takes them, but the pain is very much there.
He goes to our clinic on Monday to get his stint removed and a follow up appointment with his normal doctor and I am going to see if she wants us to go back to the hospital or not.
He sees the urologist May 28th for a follow up with him.
I have gotten some sleep. I sleep when Robert sleeps. :-)
It's almost like having a baby around...lol.
Well I have chores that need tending to but thought I would stop in and say hello to you all!
The Lord bless thee ~
Dawn

Poor Robert! I am so sorry to see him in such pain still. God bless you for being such a precious, sweet wife. You are a rare jewel for sure my dear! Sending hugs your way.

Maybe when the stint comes out, some pain will cease? Thank God you are not working outside of the home, so you are able to help Robert right now...

Tis a blessing that he is recovering. Please thank him from us for serving his country and protecting us too.

Dawn, glad to hear surgery went well and everything is fine...
I had kidney stones - 4 of them - a year ago. Although extremely painful, I elected not to have surgery and after a week of pain I cannot start to describe, many hot (not warm, hot) compresses and screams, I passed them naturally. 24 hours later I was up and running :o) Never regretted the decision,, but understand that elected pain is not for everyone...
Your husband is lucky to have you - mine took care of me while I was in pain as well, and I can testify to the incredibly psychological relief the love and care provides.
Love your way

praying your dear one is on the mend. I was thinking, today is the 5th, so only a couple days until he is back to work...
Mei-Ling had her stent out last week, took 15 minutes and she was playing in her crib an hour later.
