Can you hear her?

Do you hear her?
Do you hear the cries of the wife, the mother who sheds her tears once again as her husband ignores her for the computer, the TV, the video games?
Do you hear the pleas within herself as she pleads to God to take away the pain as each day is the same?
Do you hear the mother who quietly asks her husband to watch the children for an hour so she can unwind and take a shower and read a devotional, but he doesn't hear her because he is consumed with an online game.
Do you hear the pleas of the wife who has come to the conclusion that the only way out is to slit her wrists...maybe then her husband will finally pay attention to her.
Maybe then she wouldn't have to lock herself in the bathroom and cry unto God to forgive her for those evil thoughts. She only wants to be noticed, to be acknowledged by the one God has supposedly given her.
Do you hear the wife and the mother who have been submissive according to the Word of God, who have been meek, who have been quiet, who do it all day in and day out as she constantly gives of herself, she gets nothing back in return, day in and day out.
Aren't husbands supposed to love their wives as Christ loves the Church?
Where are these husbands?
They aren't in front of the Word studying. They aren't in church praying.
They are found in front of the computer playing games, they are found in front of their video game system for hours upon hours hoping to beat their opponent.
Do you hear her?
Do you hear the wife and mother cry unto God to change her, to renew her, to help her, so she can better serve her family better?
Only to be discouraged by the one she loves the most, but the one she relies on for support.
Do you hear her silent cries?
Do you hear the woman who begs God to forgive her for the thoughts of wanting to divorce, to forgive her for wanting to leave the silence her life has become.
Do you hear her? Do you pray for her? Do you encourage her?

WoW! That reminds me of me. Only thing was. I wasn't dealing with games. I was dealing with other women and abuse.

I praise God daily for bringing me out of that and giving me the husband I should of had. Not only that. But, He gave my kids the dad they should of had.

What a powerful post!

Hi,
I posted this on our sight the 21st of January. Just kinda slow letting you know.. sorry.

We were very happy that Amy awarded us the Blogging with Purpose Award!

We had to give it to five people. We choose you as one of our five people to give it to.

See our post under general comments if you have time to see the others we listed, and the rules… didn’t think you wanted our whole post posted here. :) If you dont want to take time to do it, it is all right. I just wanted a chance to thanks again to you.
God Bless!

It's very easy for us women to be ignored in the midst of things but this really brings light to it all.

Thank you for sharing it was lovely.

God Bless

Are you a mind reader? lol

Thanks for posting this...I think that the Lord led me to this so that I could know that I am not the only one going through this but also that there are people out there who care.

Thank you.
