So tell me...did you do 'Black Friday'? Me, hubby and Tony went to Ramstein / Vogelweh AB for the day but we didn't get there at the crack of dawn..more like 10 a.m. Even then it was a madhouse...LOL. Hubby and I got some gourmet chocolate and some cheeses from Holland which I will blog about later, plus did some Christmas shopping. We also snacked on some chocolate covered strawberries (€2,50 for a stick with 4 on it). They also had chocolate covered grapes and bananas but DH got kind of weirded out at that...LOL. I might try the banana ones when we go back. :)
Tony drove me out of my mind. All he talked about for 12 hours was YuGiOh cards and video games. I begged him to please talk about something else and when I asked him he gave me that "duh" look. Oh my goodness... He's a good kid, very kind and will help with anything, but his life is consumed and powered by video games and YuGiOh. And he will be 19 years old shortly. Robert and I were trying to listen to our Christmas music on the way to Ramstein and Tony kept going on about iPOD's or PSP's or whatever and I wanted to bang my head against the glass...LOL. The reason we have been taking him with us is so he can do Christmas shopping for his family because he doesn't drive and his family won't take him anywhere. So, he bought one Christmas item and spent the rest of the money on himself. He's been doing that where ever we go. It's like "umm hello, that money should be spent on stuff for your family, not on another DVD or video game". Ugh!
I have been visiting other blogs and been wanting to respond but have gotten kind of lazy. Maybe this week, I may pay you all a visit!
But now I must depart and continue to find homes for the Christmas stuff and get dinner on for my beloved and me. :)
The Lord bless and keep each and every one of you!
Dawn

MUAHAHAHA!
Hello Dawn! I see you popping in there! See me waving?
Hey Dawn! I'll hopefully post a few pictures of our Advent season decoration later today. We'll also start putting up the first Christmas decorations soon.
Normally Germans don't put up their tree until the 23rd or even the 24th, but my DH and I love this season so much, we decided to put it up in about two weeks already :). Looking forward to seeing your decorations.
Hello. I have two boys who are 18 and 14. They swing between being very mature to being surprisingly immature. Sometimes they are the most fascinating people and at other times they get obssessed with on thing and go on and on. LOL
I am going to start decorating Sunday. I want to tie everything in with the season of Advent.
Hey Dawn, I posted two pictures of our Advent decoration :).
Hi Dawn,
Thank you for stopping by my blog! It was so nice to have you there :) I look forward to reading yours and getting to "know" you. How long have you been in Germany? My hubby tried to get on assignment to Germany a few years ago, but they gave us Hawaii instead. LOL, not that I'm complaining about that :)
The chocolate covered strawberries sound delicious. One of my favorites is frozen chocolate covered bananas. Everytime we go to DisneyWorld, that's a must do snack for us :)
I look forward to seeing your Christmas decoration pictures!
It's so weird to hear of Ramstein and Vogelweh since we were there. I can picture what you talk about. Are there still tents set up outside for the "extra" Christmas shopping?
Take care!!
There sure are Laura! Well only for the Christmas market. Everything else is in buildings.
