Plans are under way for our 10 year anniversary (June 18th) and my 30th birthday (July 18th). We've had to switch a few things around because of $$$, but all in all I think things are coming together alright.
For our anniversary:
* we are hoping to get our pictures done at the Botanical Gardens in Ft. Worth.
* we plan on going to the Dallas Museum of Art and the Dallas Aquarium.
* we plan on ordering a cake from Spiral Diner (vegan resturant) tonight actually and eating there on the 18th and having our cake for dessert. =)
* my goal and hope and prayer is too tell hubby on our anniversary that we are having a baby. We shall see how this pans out though.
That's our anniversary plans.
For my birthday:
* I originally was going to do a Glamour Shots photo shoot. After much research into looking into price ranges and customer service, I wasn't at all pleased with the reviews I had read and the outlandish prices for every little thing, poses, touch up pictures, B&W vs. color, and so forth.
It ranged anywhere between $300 - $500+. Uh, no thanks. I may just have the lady who is doing our anniversary photos do mine. She's doing our ann. photos for free.
* We plan on going to Spiral for my birthday meal, except we will have to go on the 17th because they aren't open the 18th.
* We plan on going to see Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows part 2 in theaters.
* And the big birthday thing (pretty much replaces the whole Glamour Shots thing) is that I am going to see The Judds August 20th in Durant Oklahoma!
I did from ages 14 to 19 though and I was a HUGE, GINOURMOUS, Judd / Wy fan. Had every VHS tape, every cassette tape, saw Wy in concert twice, had just about every t-shirt, was in the fan club, began scrapbooking every single article, picture, etc I could find, sang their music in the studio and on stage (I used to sing and play guitar believe it or not), among other things.
In the Army I stopped listening to country music and my Judd / Wynonna thing disapated.
I haven't listened to country music in over 10 years.
But for some reason last week I felt compelled to go to Wy's website and just see what's going on with her and mama.
I clicked on the tour links to see if they were going to come to Texas.
Nope.
They are coming to Durant, OK and that's only 2 hours from me.
Hubby gave me the okay, I got my ticket (they were almost sold out, I'm literally in the nosebleed section, lol), booked my hotel room and rental car and I am ready to go! =)
I'm actually kind of excited. We are hoping to purchase a better digital camera because the one we have is ancient and I know for a fact it won't do well in a concert hall.
So, those our the plans for those 2 special days.
Well, Robert and I are off to Spiral. Tschuss!

That sounds like such a great celebration! I hope hubby and my celebration is half as much fun!
And much baby dust to you! I know I would love to be able to tell my hubby great news like that but things aren't looking good.
Have a great anniversary!!
Those plans sound like so much fun!
I hope and pray that you will be able to tell hubby that you are pregnant.
Praying for you! We struggled with infertility issues for 6 years and lost 2 babies during that time. Then I got pregnant without even trying and have 2 beautiful kids within the last 3 years. God can work miracles!
It sounds like you have a full list of fun things planned! Enjoy!!
