Fearful of the unknown? Fear not! :-D

The future can be a scary thing for us. We don't know what lies ahead. Only our Creator does.

Many people, Christians included, end up worrying so much they literally make themselves ill because of it.

*

One thing we both know, worrying about the situation won't change it one bit. And that's the truth, Amen?

*

I think it's in our human nature to want to fix everything and make it all better, especially us women. We want things to be just right. And when we can't fix an issue it can drive us batty. We may get irritated and frustrated more and eventually will give up and finally surrender the issue to Yahweh, when in reality, the situation should have been handed over to Him first.

*

Neither men, nor women though were made to handle all of life's problems alone. We may *feel* alone, but we never are.

*

Below are a few Scriptures to meditate on when life throws us a curve ball and the unknown looks so dark and scary:

Deuteronomy 31:6 -- "Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy GOD, He it is that doth go with thee; He will not fail thee, nor forsake thee."

Joshua 1:9 -- "Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed; for the LORD thy GOD is with thee withersoever thou goest."

*

Psalm 91:5 -- " Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day".

*

Psalm 112:7-- "He shall not be afraid of evil tidings; his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD".

*

Isaiah 12:2-- " Behold, GOD is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid; for the LORD Jehovah is my strength and my song; He also is become my salvation".

*

John 14:27-- " Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you; not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid".

We can rest in that assurance knowing Who is in charge, Who knows our future. Trust Him. Do not be afraid my friend. We must stop relying in our own strength because we only end up failing ourselves.
