I still have some things left in the mini yard sale post. If any of you are interested, please scroll down to see what's left. I thank those of you who have purchased things. What a blessing! I hope it will be a blessing to you as it was for me when I had that certain item.
We have a small roof leak in the master bedroom. A roofer was out last Thursday I believe and climbed up on top to see what the problem was. Many heavy tree branches have ripped off the shingles and punctured a hole (small) in the roof. He was a very nice gentleman (found him through the Better Business Bureau) and said he can fix it all up and cut down those tree limbs for a sum of $375. Robert and I breathed a sigh of relief because we thought it was going to be in the thousand price range. $375 is nothing. :-) He is supposed to be here tomorrow...I hope. If he doesn't come by a certain time we will give him a call.
We had planned on taking a day trip to Oklahoma today but we found out the store hubby needed to get his new uniforms from are closed on Sundays. So, we will wait for spring break when he is off from college and then take a day trip during the week and go. We love Oklahoma! We were only there for a short period of time but we grew to love it. Thankfully we aren't that far away from the OK border. :-)
Robert is really enjoying his part time job in Cedar Hill. He is learning more and making less mistakes as he says. :-) I am so grateful to YAHWEH for providing this job.
After doing some research about H&R Block, Jackson-Hewitt, and Liberty tax services, I decided to ask Patty (http://morningramble.blogspot.com) where her and her beloved go to file taxes since they aren't too far from me and they get them done privately. She said the man is honest and reasonable. That's all we need to know. :-) He won't be in town till March though so we have a few weeks to wait before we get them done.
Good news! I finally became a licensed Texas driver! I had been driving on my Oklahoma license (which wasn't expired by the way), but Texas law states a new person to the state has to have a license by 30 days. Oops! Either way, now I just wait for it in the mail, but it's done. Gosh, I hope the picture turned out alright...lol. You should see my Texas ID card picture. :- /
YAHWEH & Yeshua just have been so good to us, haven't they? Sometimes I sit in silent praise and worship them, and that's rare for me as I am a verbal prayer warrior for the most part, but I have learned of the most precious moments are in silence, listening, learning, growing, praising.
HALLELUYAH!!!!
Blessings,
Dawn

ya know i am 20 min from the ok. border- northeast way. will you be passing me? hmmmm? :)
I may just have to make a pit stop on my way there or back when we go. We normally go through Wichita Falls...are you near there?
That picture is absolutely wonderful. Thank you for that and for your thoughts!
I've noticed for a while that you use the Hebrew names for God (Yahweh, Yeshua, etc). I'm curious as to why. :) I think it's a beautiful practice, but I'm curious about your reasons for it. :D
Love in Christ,
Sarah
Dear Sarah,
Well I am in the beginning stages of all kinds of new things He is teaching me but the basics of that is:
1. Those are the original names they would have been called.
2. There was and still is not a letter 'J' in the Hebrew alphabet. It didn't come into existance till about 500 years ago.
3. Out of respect, I am trying to honor their names, the proper way.
As I said I am in the basics of the basics of studying all these things He is revealing to me, so my answers were probably not the greatest. I am sorry for that.
It's something you can research in the few spare moments you have. Just Google 'Yeshua' or 'Yahweh' and read a little bit. You may be suprised. :-)
But for what it's worth I still call JESUS, JESUS and GOD, GOD too. For now. :-)
Blessings,
Dawn
((smiles)) I can totally understand the reasons behind it. I do think that God has revealed Himself through many names: Elohim, Jehovah, Yahweh, Jesus, Almighty God, and the list could go on forever (Hallelujah!). Any of those names glorifies God--after all, they all mean different things about the same Person.
My preferred name for God? Take your dominant hand and open it up like you are going to give someone a high-five. Face it so that your palm faces to the left (or the right if you are left handed). Bring it up to about the top of your head, about a foot away. Then rotate your wrist so that your fingers move closer to you, bringing your elbow slightly down. :D

You are right, that is something we ALL need to work on. The Bible says if a man can control his tongue, he is a perfect man! It's like the reigns of the soul.
Glad to hear you are doing well!
