The hubby and I cooked dinner together (steak pieces in hubby's special gravy) and of course the obvious corn and taters... :-)

New book I will be beginning hopefully tonight.
Oh, how I so love to soak in God's Word every day! Today I read in 1 Kings, Psalms, Proverbs and the book of Jude. I always learn new things no matter how many times I have read a certain book and of course also get convicted on things as well. Praise the Lord for the conviction from the Holy Spirit. I try to make sure my heart is pure and whole before God on a daily basis, even if that means I spend a few times a day on my knees in repentance. I don't mind. :-) I must be ready to meet my Saviour shall He come on this day.
My Sunday morning dress of choice today. Especially made at http://www.katiesmercantile.com
Hubby and I love this game! Of course he always beats me at it. :-)

Since we have no vehicle, Rev. Garrison picked me up and dropped me off for church this morning. What a blessing! I am greatful for that.
Every Sunday before services officially begin, Pastor asks if there are any birthdays or anniversaries so we all can sing to that individual.
Well, bless her heart, Sis. Garrison goes "Dawn has an anniversary next week", so of course you know what happend next right? They all sang 'Happy Anniversary' to me. Ugh...lol.
Church was very good. We have been studying in the book of Matthew.
When I got home from the house of the Lord, Robert was cooking breakfast, or I guess you could say brunch. He made some eggs, sausage and bacon.
What a blessing. :-)
It's been an easy day. Husband has been watching TV (I have no idea how someone could watch so much TV in one day but he does) and I have been reading and praying.
Thank God for the day of rest He gives.
Tomorrow the Army has off for some reason but Robert has to go to Mannheim (he's taking a government vehicle) to go to some 'getting out of the Army' class and I am going along. The class won't be long so I will just bring some books to read while I wait for him, then we can go to their commissary (very nice one) and the PX.
Tomorrow I have to make a 'to do' list for this week. I normally never make those, but it's time to start going through the junk draws and eliminating it all, and finish going through closets, etc as the time is drawing closer to our departure. :-)
Got lots to do, well, mainly just lots of useless junk to throw away like boxes I was saving, plastic bags I was saving to align those boxes for padding, and who knows what else. I don't want to know just yet. I still want to enjoy the rest of my Sunday evening :-)
Please lets remember to pray for those who have lost their homes, family members, etc with all these floods, earthquakes, typhoons.
These things are not just a coinsidence my friends.
In my reading in the book of Psalms today, I was reading Psalm 135:7 which states 'He causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings for the rain; he bringeth the wind out of his treasuries'.
Oh I know there are many more verses about God being in control of the weather, I just read that verse today in my readings and thought I would share it.
I don't know about you all but I for sure am excited for the Lord's return. Oh won't it be a glorious time in Heaven! There will be no more denominations arguing who is right and who is wrong, there will be no more heartache and tears, no more murders, no more pain, oh Glory! :-)
Make sure your heart is right tonight before you go to sleep. The Bible says the Lord will come back like a thief in the night and we will not know what hour it shall be (Revelation 3:3).
The Lord bless and keep you all! I thank you for those who gave me prayer requests to pray over. You can count on me to pray ladies! You can also count on God to answer!
Living on the hallelujah side,
Dawn

We had a wonderful Father's Day service at church today. My husband and I don't have children yet, but it really spoke to my husband. It was over Psalm 122. I hope you and your husband have a great day tomorrow!
So good, I had to share it.
PS- leave me your email in a comment (I won't publish) so I can give you a private but specific request)

Dawn,
I am so glad you posted the link to Katie's Mercantile. I had not heard of it before but after taking a peek around the site, I liked what I saw. I have my eye on one of the aprons, so maybe for Christmas I will put it on my list as an idea for hubby to get me. *grin*
Have a blessed day!
