Hello my friends.
I hope this blog finds you well today.
What a blessed day today was.
At church there was a southern gospel concert put on by Mark Gray. This man can sing! Oh he was great. He also shared his testimony and preached for us for a moment.
I bought 4 of his CD's. If you are interested in his music, he has a website. Here is the URL:
I wish I would have bought all his CD's but I only had so much cash on me :)
Also I recently learned that a brother and sister in the Lord (married of course) are expecting their 4th blessing due in April! Yippee!!! This year has been a rough year for the both of them, so this is such a wonderful note to end 2007!
After church, my friend Tony and I went to the PX so I could grab some cash and then we had lunch at Burger King. For once the food was fresh and the soda wasn't flat. Wooohoooo!
We went back to my place for a bit and my husband was home from work. Tony visited with him for a moment and left.
Robert took a 2 hour nap and I tried getting through some of the emails in my inbox. I only have 1300!
When Robert awoke we went to Popeyes for dinner in Wiesbaden and we just enjoyed the drive.
It's been in the 30's for the low here. I love the cold...love it, love it!
Gas on base is at $2.92. I really hope it goes down more. I really don't remember paying $1.49 anymore..it's been too long.
My husband was recently diagnosed with work related depression and is now on an anti depressant. Please keep him in your prayers. You would not believe what his job is putting him though. It's insane. And the Army wonders why soldiers don't want to re enlist. Hmmm maybe they should quit treating their soldiers like trash and quit over working them 6 days a week!
Ugh...don't get me started on that... :/
I hope each and every one of you are tremendously blessed on this day that the Lord has made!
Love,
Dawn

So glad to hear that things are going good there!! 30's as a low - Wow!! Have a great week!!
God bless,
Lisa in Texas = )
I am praying for your husband Robert, I know how tough depression is but I bet it is harder as a man because so many see it as a weakness (which of course it isn't!!)
Bless you both
Amy
PS thank you for the lovely card :)
My hubby is in the military also, so I understand what you are going through. My husband's current assignment is great and all the people are wonderful. His last base was horrible though! He worked strange shift hours. By shift work I don't mean that he worked the same shift every month or even every week. He work one shift for a few days and then get switched to a different one. Plus he couldn't get the highest scores on his evaluation because he didn't want to spend extra time at work volunteering.
I am so thankful that my hubby has been transferred.
Dawn --
My husband has been diagnosed with PTSD. He has back to back deployments. The first to help with the tsunami and then on to Iraq, and the second straight to Iraq. He's been home a little over a year now and we are happy for that!
I will be praying for your husband.
God bless,
Sallie
